Fly Quieter and Greener is part of Heathrow’s noise action plan, which aims to make Heathrow a better neighbour by encouraging airlines to use quieter aircraft and fly them in the quietest way.
Fly Quieter and Greener
This programme was the UK’s first ever league table ranking airlines according to their noise performance.
The League Table is published every quarter comparing the top 50 airlines (according to the number of flights to and from Heathrow in the given quarter) across the nine different metrics.
Each metric is assigned a Red, Amber or Green
status based on performance bands for that
indicator. Operators at the top will typically have
more ‘green scores’ than those at the bottom.
This is the overall score achieved by the airline. The maximum points that can be achieved is 1000 and minimum is 0. For more information on the scoring system, please see the ‘How we calculate’ section.
